Entry tags:!gamewide plot (generic), ~!game plot: christmas ghosts, ~ex: harry potter harry potter

WHO:Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory
WHERE: Harry's Kitchen
WHEN: Christmas Eve
WARNINGS: none that I know of
SPOILERS? N/a. Thank you to Lena for playing Cedric ♥

Christmas time had always been Harry's favorite time of year, especially after he found out he was a wizard. Hogwarts truly felt like the only home he ever knew, and Harry felt grateful that he had been able to defend it from Voldemort's attack. Tom Riddle wasn't at the forefront of his mind these days. but in the evenings, when melancholy hits, it is usually when Harry finds himself stumbling out of his room and into the kitchen to make himself a cuppa.

Harry is at the stove going through the soothing motions of making himself a cup of tea when he feels the air shift... sort of.

"Bullocks. Next time remember your wand, Harry," He muttered, slowly turning. "Am I dreaming?"

Cedric offered the Gryffindor a wary smile. "I don't think so," he said, but he wasn't sure that he would know, himself. Here he was, standing in a kitchen he didn't recognize and Harry stood there looking a bit older, at least, than when Cedric had last seen him.

There was also the fact that Cedric was certain he should be dead. That he was dead. Wizards didn't just come back to life after being hit with the killing curse, after all.

He rubbed the back of his head as he tried to sort it out. "Er, hello, Harry."

Harry closed his eyes, taking a breath in. "That's good... I supposed," Harry looked at his feet and pushed up his glasses, which he really didn't need anymore, upon his nose.

"Right. Hello, Cedric," Harry parroted back. "Can you drink? I was just making some tea. I thought maybe we could talk?"

Harry had a lot to tell Cedric and a lot to atone for, which is possibly why he showed up here tonight.

"I think so," Cedric answered, nodding at the request. Some part of him knew he shouldn't be here and he had the strange feeling that he wouldn't be able to stay very long. Was he a ghost? He didn't feel like one, but there was so much about this situation - or about being dead, which he was rather sure he had to be - that he didn't know.

It was hard to be sure how to act right now, though, being sure he was dead, but still being very solid and alive and standing here with Harry Potter, who was both a rival and, he hoped, a friend.

"Tea sounds great, yeah," he agreed after a beat.
