Well, wasn't this just great? When Evan woke up that morning, his first thought was not to plunge the City into darkness; it reminded him too much of the earthquakes. He didn't like being in a high-rise then, and he most certainly did not want to be stuck in this high-rise now. He had invited TK over for a movie last night and offered TK the second room if he wanted to crash.
Honestly? Evan hated being alone. He needed company to stay out of his head, so he selfishly invited TK to stay. He didn't know if he took his offer, but he made coffee and eggs for two. He had just poured the coffee when he heard a pop and the apartment was plunged into darkness.
