San Francisco was quite the city. It was massive in both size and population. There weren't many places that one could hide themselves away in but Asriel had managed to find a few. The coffee shop that had been recommended to him when he first arrived, luckily, happened to be one of them. Of course, the shop could be quite busy during the morning hours but after the rush? He could find a table by the window that overlooked the bay and enjoy a good book for hours, if he chose.
Was this the best choice to bring in his- to bring Marisa to? If the conversation between them didn't go well (and there was always a chance that it wouldn't), he wasn't sure if he would be able to enjoy the shop in the same way. But at the same time? If things went well, perhaps she would join him one of these days. Asriel was willing to take the risk. He usually was when it came to Marisa.
He arrived exactly on time, with only one minute to spare. Thankfully, he was able to see her through the front window or else he might've barreled into her as soon as he stepped in. He was nervous though he was doing his best not to show it. The extra cologne he'd sprayed earlier would have been an easy giveaway.
"Hello again, Mr. Belacqua!" One of the baristas waved to him from the front counter when they saw him.
With his usual smile, he nodded and waved back. He could see her already fixing his regular drink. But his focus shifted quickly to Marisa as he slipped in at her side. "I might come here often. Have you decided on something yet?"
