I'm leaving Wednesday morning, no solid return date. New friend Margo and I are going tropical.

Right, so I suppose I should introduce myself now that I've spent my first night here. Jim Kirk, First Officer of the USS Farragut. One of those folks for whom space travel is common so this is going to be a bit of an adjustment. Few questions for you all:

• Where is the best coffee?

• Best bar/club?
  
• Three things I should know as a new arrival?

I know it rains a lot in San Fran, but it wasn't quite this bad in my time. Is this a normal thing or...?

So Quentin(1) asked me to do the adventure park thing with him yesterday. I have never made such a fool of myself, but also, I haven't laughed that much in a very long time. I'm obviously not naturally athletic. I had a great time. Unfortunately Quentin had an accident and bruised his knee up. Don't worry, he's okay. It's been iced up and he bought something to put on it to help with pain and soreness. He can walk on it, so please don't worry too much friends of his. I've been taking care of him.

To the powers that be, please have more of the activities you bestow on us last later into the night like this did. For those of us who can't be out in the daytime it gives us a chance to interact with others in more than just passing. And it was so much fun! Thank you.

The weather today is reminding me a bit of a fall day in New York. Cool and a light breeze. Makes me miss home, Brakebills, Bambi and all the things. I think I may have some hot chocolate.

I'm really hoping this place has a Rec Room I haven't discovered or heard of yet.

Incidentally, I need someone to ban me from going to the local hobby store. I may have blown the better part of my latest paycheck on model plane kits.

So, yeah. Rec Room. Many, many, many plane kits. Too many to reasonably get through in a single lifetime, that's for sure.

It feels strange to realize I'm approaching 2 years in this world. Lyra and Luna have both grown so much since then! And I have tried so many things, but there is still so much to try!

Everyone meet Luna! I adopted her on Tuesday and she's settling in just fine. A little ball of energy and purring machine. I'm in love. ❤❤

I had a run in with our newest resident, the Easter Bunny. They were nice and gave me a couple of carrots along with a box of Peeps. I'm not a fan of them so anyone who wants them just say the word.

I shared that I've been good and would very much appreciate some Reese's Peanut Butter eggs or cups in my Easter basket. They gave me a hug and went on their way. I hope that means I'll be getting some Reese's Peanut butter candy. Reese's Pieces are pretty good too.

When I arrived I only bought a small selection of clothes. I could do with some more and a few personal items. Would either of you like to accompany me?

You know how you keep waiting to introduce yourself on a social media club and you keep putting it off and putting it off and putting it off and then surprise, people's powers are apparently swapping, which makes it awkward to say hi because you don't have your own powers and you assume that the middle of your forehead headache is just from eye strain because everything has been fuzzy and you keep wondering how awkward it would be to just do a general call for 'hey anyone have glasses I can borrow?' but that's not really why you've been having those headaches?

I'm still getting used to the... very kumbahyah hugs and friendly atmosphere as my universe is just a lot of worst assumptions and punch first and ask questions later, but.... if the designation of 616 rings any bells, raise your hands.

Also, uh, just... sleep help would be good. Or sleep help where you... stay in your body would be... really really good... I've had enough out of body experiences that I really really really don't need more.
