Not that I don't want to go to work and shape the young minds of the city or whatever.

I always find it funny that the government makes a holiday out of Columbus Day when the guy didn't even discover America. Hell, he never even made it to America. Never understood that.

This school year is already kicking my ass. That and the bug going around.

Anyway, hope everyone's doing alright. Figure I'd reach out and try to be social. Or something.

Yesterday was fun, I hope everybody liked the gumbo, you can think my grandmother for that recipe. Might even go back farther than her, I don't know.

Memorial Day is always a special holiday for me, having served in the military and also working with those who had a hard time adjusting when they got home. A lot of good people gave their lives so that we could have the freedom to do the things we take for granted. I know I'm guilty of it and I should know better.

I can check on thing off my to-do list. Finding a job. I tried the high school but there's not much time left in the school year so that was a bust. Angie Smith sent me to Cedar Sinai and I found something there in the case management department. Seems they needed someone who had some experience working with the homeless, refugees and the like. So yeah, that's what I'll be doing.

So, tonight's gonna be crazy. That's just how it is on this day.

If anyone survives the night, who wants to get mimosas tomorrow afternoon?

Now that I’ve been here for a couple of weeks, I have some questions.

I have decided that I am never going to get away from the government no matter how hard I try. Apparently I'm in another dimension and I still have them trying to run my life. I'm Sam Wilson and I'm not usually this grumpy but I didn't expect an unscheduled visit to San Francisco today and it doesn't appear that leaving is an option. So hi.
