Second Chances: the Network

Little Peter has been asking for a beach day so I think tomorrow's the day. If anyone wants to come, we're planning on packing up the sandcastle building supplies, Addie the Adventure Dog, and a picnic lunch and heading out to Crissy Field. I know we'd love to have friends along and it's supposed to be pretty nice weather for the day.

Pete's mostly hoping to see some whales but apparently windsurfers will do.

I suppose one of the better things for this weekend is the lack of fireworks. People and animals have trouble and our new location is close enough to the bridge that the show is on the bay off Pier 39.

Fireworks are illegal (boo or yay) otherwise so hopefully this year is pretty easy.

Some of my students are complaining about the substitute history teacher. Something about their voice being so monotone that they fall asleep no matter how many Monsters they slam.

If anyone is interested in a day job as a high school history teacher, I'm sure Angie can doctor some degrees and pull the same strings she pulled to get me my position. Bonus points if you can tell a factual story without putting teenagers to sleep.
