I really can't tell you enough how wonderful it was to have you with us. Especially for the shop's opening. And for Stephen your father. I couldn't be more proud to call you my daughter.

It's not exactly what I was doing back home, but I landed a job as a photographer with the San Francisco Chronicle. Most of the writers I'm working with seem pretty relaxed but one is super intense. That's the one I plan to follow the most!

Now other than holiday barbecues, what do you all do around here? I've been warned about weird things and now there's some guy talking about a swearing duck.

Being honest, I didn't really miss San Francisco. But in some ways it's good to be back. The Tower isn't there, though

So, it's been summer and I seriously have run out of things to do. I don't know how anyone watches TV for more than a couple of hours at a time.

Thinking about going up the coast for a day. Maybe Santa Cruz? Anyone interested?

I spent way too much of that starter money on equipment. But guess who has a podcast and I'll be streaming online, doing what I do best.

AND I got in the door at one of the local radio stations but they're not ready to hop on board with my show which is fine. They're going to let me have some late-night slots since their current intern rotation is switching up. I got to record some demos for them and BAM! In.

If you're a night-owl and enjoy music from before the 90s, tune in to Highway 1 (KOIT 96.5 and KFOX 98.5 depending on location) from 11pm onward Wednesday through Friday.

Also: if anyone here is good with websites and social media, I am totally behind in the times and could use a hand in setting something up for myself. Right now we are in total newbie-zone.

And as a final note, if you're a REALLY late person or a REALLY early person and would like to get a 4am breakfast or coffee when I get off shift let me know. I am usually amped after a show and could use the company. But I know most people aren't up for that.

Ms. Smith assures me the Northern states are sending extra plows to shovel the donuts. In the meantime, I would recommend not eating floor donuts.

It's official.

I've signed everything and talked to the office and Ms. Smith and I'll be going to Stanford in August. It's close enough so I can commute to the Station and they have a really good program in biomechanical engineering. I can also do an interdisciplinary study in 'Science, Technology, and Science' so that's exciting.

It isn't MIT, but it's still an incredible school so I can't exactly be disappointed and at least here I get to go to college so there's that.

Do I have to call the Muggles, No-Maj now I'm in the States? I don't like that, it sounds derogatory, Muggles is cute sounding.

Anyway, Quid robes, I need to change out of mine and find something less conspicuous. Five grand should get me started on a new wardrobe. I'm joking, I only need jeans and some shirts and socks. Maybe pants, who knows. It's not really cold here is it?

I can check on thing off my to-do list. Finding a job. I tried the high school but there's not much time left in the school year so that was a bust. Angie Smith sent me to Cedar Sinai and I found something there in the case management department. Seems they needed someone who had some experience working with the homeless, refugees and the like. So yeah, that's what I'll be doing.
