I haven't been able to work because both of my bosses seem to think they're living out some sort of rom-com, so I'm trying to find things to do to keep occupied during the day. Does anyone want to go see the magnolia trees in bloom at the botanical garden with me? Or go get a drink? Maybe both.

Hi! I'm Lydia, Tony's sister. And he’s absolutely horrible for not having introduced us sooner, but I’m willing to forgive the oversight considering he’s my favorite and also only brother.

So! Tony tells me you two are getting married?? This is so exciting! I can’t wait for you to meet the family, they’re totally going to love you. And speaking of, before you meet the rest of the family, how would you feel about getting together for an afternoon or two to get in some quality sibling-in-law time?

We can get to know each other, I’ll give you the run down on everyone else in the family so you have some guaranteed talking points when you meet them. I’m sure by now Tony has filled you in on who our family is exactly, but don’t worry, some most of us are very down to earth royals. You might just need to know a few things going in, at least in terms of how we do things, just in the interest of blending in. It’s entirely for your benefit, trust me. We’ll go over some basic etiquette, which I’m sure you don’t actually need but it never hurts to brush up on these things, and anything else that comes to mind while we get to know each other better. How does that sound?

I know, I know. It's been a hot minute since I gave you all an update. Sorry, I haven’t been around much but I fell for it. I thought I had found my perfect match for Valentine’s Day. And well, let’s just say the Calamity Jane Valentine’s Curse strikes again.

Answer me this... how is it that someone so beautiful, caring, and smart in person, can be so cruel and negative once they have a keyboard in front of them? Is the computer screen some sort of shield allowing them to hide behind after flinging dirt? Using the anonymity of a username to block the world from seeing their true ugly self.

I don’t know. Maybe I’m putting too much thought in it. Maybe I’m just destined to be single for the rest of my life. There’s nothing wrong with that, right?
