So...my parents are getting married. And I don't really know if there's anything special I'm supposed to be doing? I'm so truly, genuinely excited and happy for them but like...what's the traditional way to show that? And does tradition matter when two of you are from hundreds of years in the future and the other isn't even from this realm??

Yes, Hi... hey... I'm Zoe Hart. This cold has been going on longer than any of us expected, I'm sure. The clinic... is here. We, like many, are running low on a few things. If anyone can spare a blanket or pillow, it would be much appreciated.

I'm fine, but trying to dig myself out of a snowbank was no fun. Currently thawing out on the couch, but the Wasp suit is grounded until I can find a workaround for these extreme temperatures.

Might want to make sure we got rations to last however long this goes on. Ice planets don't get much by way of deliveries. Food gets hard to come by. Ain't been to one for a reason.

I've never really understood New Year's resolutions. They always sound like you're setting yourself up for failure or self-loathing if you don't follow through. But I did pick out a couple of intentions for this coming year. Things I'd like to keep in mind and focus on.

One of them is to keep this lovely girl happy and healthy. Everyone, ( please meet Jinx ).

She's actually been with me for a trial since just before Christmas, but I made it official and adopted her today. I've never had a dog before, so if anyone wants to give me tips, I would appreciate it.

It's the Solstice and I know it isn't as big of a deal in this world but I know some people celebrate and I'd certainly like to.

Would anyone be up for a beach gathering? We can have a bonfire to symbolize the sun and it's a good season for letting go of darkness and burdens so if you'd like to bring something to burn or just write down something you'd like to move on from and burn we can do that. A lot of your modern christmas carols have pagan roots so it might be fun to play some of those but otherwise, general party atmosphere might be fun! It's also common to have a large feast with lots of spices and herbs and we can make that happen over a good fire, too.

And I bet if I look really, really adorable at him, I can talk Chris into Christmas cake.

Anyone interested? I'm probably going to go out there at some point anyway, the Solstice is a good time to be in nature and it's not too cold here to really enjoy it, but I'd love the company and a proper party would be even better!

This is my first time really celebrating Christmas, so, hit me with your 'must-try' Christmas traditions.

Also, it seems ridiculous that tomorrow is the last day of finals, but then they want us to have a normal day of class on Friday. Are we actually going to do any work?

Also, I've managed to build & juryrig some sleighs into sand sleds, so at the stables will be doing sleigh rides on the beach through new years. If you want to see me drive a sleigh with a team of horses - and maybe be dressed like Santa.

In the more serious and genuine, thank you to everyone who's helped put this together. This was not, in any way, a one man show. My physicians taking patients, my office staff, and my team behind the scenes are the only reason this is happening. So thank you.

Now that's more than enough being genuine, gross, I need approximately six coffees and three green teas to get through today.

In case anyone doesn't have plans today, feel free to drop by our apartment (509). We'll have food throughout the afternoon and evening. There will of course, be turkey (which has been brined since earlier this week) and all the fixings including plenty of vegetarian options and three types of stuffing because I might be an overachiever. And multiple pies since my response to the apple vs pumpkin vs pecan debate is all of the above.

After the holiday, I may need your assistance with something.

I know that Stephen and Simon have talked about the clinic that'll be opening up, and I just wanted to add that I'll be holding some counseling hours there in addition to my other ones. While I'm still in the process of dotting i's and crossing t's to get licensed here, I do have years of experience in listening and counseling those who are in need of guidance or a listening ear. Since this last month was a lot, I just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the resources here.

Tuesday evenings I'll also be hosting a group session in the community room for folks who want to chat about the challenges and joys of life here.

I always forget how into Christmas this country is, but it's kind of charming.

So, hello. Most of you don't know me, but I'm Ginny, Albus' mum. His dad and I are going to throw him a birthday party this Sunday, starting at 6 pm at The Bit & Barrel (address here). It will be in the downstairs lounge, so just come in and go down the stairs on your right to find us.

His birthday is the 19th, but this was the only time I could guarantee the space, so Sunday it is.

Gifts are encouraged, but not required. I think Al just wants people to come and enjoy themselves. It's not a surprise party, he knows one is happening, but not the fine details, so please avoid telling him anything. We'll manage to get him there on time.

And if you are seeing this and don't know Al, myself, or Harry (that's his dad), that's okay. You are welcome, too. Use this as an opportunity to get to know your fellow residents.

Despite the insanity of last month, the clinic is still on schedule to open at the end of the month. Given what all we learned during....that, if any of our displaced residents need help sooner, we can take you. The plan is still no charge for the displaced.
