It's been awhile since I've been here. Although what the hell did you all do? Bay area is supposed to be mild weather and queer love - but it's colder than a witch's tit out there. Is this nuclear winter/permafrost we were warned about?

At least I've got my coat here. Can't imagine if I showed up here in just my birthday suit. I mean, it would have gotten some attention, but I'd be a tad worried for the safety of my best assets.

I know we have bigger problems and this is a random statement but

It's weird when you hear two people arguing (Jason and Yelena. It's Jason and Yelena) and they switch languages mid-sentence. Multiple times. And it's weirder when you can follow the argument.

Which brings me to my point and I know it's been asked before but I'm asking again:

Other than English, what languages do you speak? I'm only claiming fluency in 12. Yes, I realize that's a brag. But I blame Bruce.

Might want to make sure we got rations to last however long this goes on. Ice planets don't get much by way of deliveries. Food gets hard to come by. Ain't been to one for a reason.

Survival kits. Somethin to think about.

I know this is last minute, but if anyone else who celebrates Hanukkah (or doesn't) wants to come over this evening for a meal, I've got a chicken in the oven. I also made too many latkes and bought some challah to share. I'm in apartment 2007, just knock if you'd like to join me.

It's been really nice getting to watch the city change with the upcoming holidays. Since this will be my first time celebrating Christmas on Earth, what are some of everyone's favorite traditions?

That was almost disappointedly uneventful. My minor research into Earth Holidays paid off though apparently. Nothin on fire. Turkey turned out okay. I think. Never had one of those before.

I'm doing this as privately as I can, as I don't trust that our network isn't under surveillance.

The clinic isn't open to the public yet, but it's enough should anyone need it now. Things only seem to be getting worse, unfortunately, so please spread the word to our residents and let them know that's where I'll be for the foreseeable future.

Additionally, if we know anyone who is able to put a layer of wards on the clinic, that would be appreciated. Better safe than sorry.

If you go out at night, don't go alone. Two guys and one girl were waiting about halfway between the pub and the building tonight on my way back from work. I don't know if the goal was just to scare me, or steal my stuff, or something worse, but they clearly had thought this through. Unclear if it's got anything to do with all the other odd stuff, but after Mal's experience at the pub, I've got to wonder.

One of the blokes has a mean right hook. If my magic was working properly, I would have hexed him before he got close enough to make contact.

Had an unusual occurrence tonight - Was coming back from grocery shopping and noticed someone watching me before I came back to the building. They caught me watching them watching me, but just kept staring. Eventually they moved away. Didn't try anything or do anything, but it was... strange.

Any of you got a spare firearm around? Just to be prepared.

Okay. Let me get this straight:

1. It's 2027.
   
2. Not only am I stuck on Earth, but I'm also stuck in the stupid past
   
3. So no holodeck.
   
4. No food replicators.
   
5. And again, stuck on Earth.

Does anyone know where I can get a really good stiff drink? Or five?
