This is sort of a broad filter, but I'm not even sure where to begin in narrowing down who to ask about this. But do any of you have experience with mutants and possibly temporarily blocking mutations? Would prefer something not DNA-altering, but it's something I've been wanting to look into for a while now...

While I can say that I am acclimating to the modern era, there are still many things I do not understand. I am learning, and the library has been quite helpful.

...though, I am afraid that my current lifestyle will depress my gifted funds. Without sufficient income, I fear I will run out of resources within a matter of months, and I am told that my stay here may exceed that amount of time.

It is probably time for me to secure employment. I am open to suggestions as to how I can do so.

Well, hello San Francisco.

It's been awhile since I've been here. Although what the hell did you all do? Bay area is supposed to be mild weather and queer love - but it's colder than a witch's tit out there. Is this nuclear winter/permafrost we were warned about?

At least I've got my coat here. Can't imagine if I showed up here in just my birthday suit. I mean, it would have gotten some attention, but I'd be a tad worried for the safety of my best assets.

It's official. This cold has gotten to me and I've snapped. I'm talking to kitchen appliances and I've named the poolish I started. Her name is Georgina and she made some delicious french toast and while it was, in fact, delicious, I'm growing concerned for myself here!

You'd never know I grew up in the middle of nowhere with very little human contact.

When I told the General I was leaving UNIT because I needed a change this wasn't what I had in mind. The Liaison Officer may have called this a portal, but it seems more like a rift in time and space; there's one like it in Cardiff back home. Every so often things (and occasionally people) would fall through. Interesting though... I suppose it makes sense that if this happens on our Earth that it would happen on alternate ones. Though alternate Earths are a little new. Still, I've dealt with worse; heard the Bay Area is normally nice this time of year - snow aside. Suppose that this is just another adventure.
