Decorating for the holidays when you live alone is depressing not fun. I miss Lily and Scorpius.

Not having my original manuscripts is making this next book tricky. Without a way to reference past events to ensure continuity, I may need to put everything on hold and attempt the start of a new series. Still mystery, however. Who doesn't love a good mystery?

While I brainstorm ideas for a new story, Thing is curious to know if anyone has any Halloween costume ideas for him. He says he's tempted to try a new polish for the occasion but that he would much prefer to get into the spirit with something more this year. Should anyone have suggestions, I'll be sure to pass them along. And he's already thought of disembodied hand in a candy bowl, as a note.

Fortune cookies are an acquired taste, but they're also a welcomed source of entertainment during late-night shifts in the ER and otherwise. We won't get into the amount of Lo Mein we consumed. If you know, you know.

Is anyone else suspicious that we haven't had any major attacks by turkeys, elves, or large predators lately? Maybe it's just me.

Anyway, can't say the last few surprises haven't been fun. Can't say I've ever played minigolf, but I'm willing to learn.

Have you been outside yet? We are surrounded by a golf course! It reminds me of Hastings. Who wants to play the adventure course with me? We can have fish and chips after!
