It is officially October 1 so you'll find me drinking apple cider, listening to Monster Mash, and decorating the apartment.

These fortune cookie things? Definitely some good and bad mixed in. I was still riding the high when I got off work early-ass Saturday morning but "Enthusiastic leadership gets you a promotion when you least expect it" was definitely a win!

There isn't really a promotion when you have your own show but I got picked up by other markets! I'm so excited and amazed and I swear I'm still buzzing.

Also, I got kicked out of my first study group, and I can't decide what I blame more: my fortune cookie or the jerk who had terrible opinions on immigrant issues. I couldn't just let it slide, so now I have to find a new one. Totally worth it. The new one will be loads better.

Castro Street Fair is today, and I need street fair food. Who's going with me?

Not having my original manuscripts is making this next book tricky. Without a way to reference past events to ensure continuity, I may need to put everything on hold and attempt the start of a new series. Still mystery, however. Who doesn't love a good mystery?

While I brainstorm ideas for a new story, Thing is curious to know if anyone has any Halloween costume ideas for him. He says he's tempted to try a new polish for the occasion but that he would much prefer to get into the spirit with something more this year. Should anyone have suggestions, I'll be sure to pass them along. And he's already thought of disembodied hand in a candy bowl, as a note.
