SECOND CHANCES NET

Yesterday was fun, I hope everybody liked the gumbo, you can think my grandmother for that recipe. Might even go back farther than her, I don't know.

Memorial Day is always a special holiday for me, having served in the military and also working with those who had a hard time adjusting when they got home. A lot of good people gave their lives so that we could have the freedom to do the things we take for granted. I know I'm guilty of it and I should know better.

>> I realized yesterday that I've never taken you on a proper date.
>> Forgive me, we kind of do things backwards where I come from.
>> Seems like people just get engaged and then date.
>> Makes no sense to me.
>> Anyway, would you be interested in having dinner with me on Friday night if you can get a sitter for Molly?
>> You can choose where we go. It's all new to me so I'll try anything when it comes to food.

I've never lived in a house with a baby. It's actually kind of cool. She's cute, she smells good (most of the time) and she's stopped crying when she looks at me. We're making progress.
