It's official.

I've signed everything and talked to the office and Ms. Smith and I'll be going to Stanford in August. It's close enough so I can commute to the Station and they have a really good program in biomechanical engineering. I can also do an interdisciplinary study in 'Science, Technology, and Science' so that's exciting.

It isn't MIT, but it's still an incredible school so I can't exactly be disappointed and at least here I get to go to college so there's that.

Ummmmm, I'm going to need a car, I guess?

It's a tough decision. I spent the last 8 years of my life working towards MIT and now I can't exactly go there so...Stanford! It's a great school, I'm not mad about it.

Congratulations Peter! Stanford is a great school. You are right about MIT, though, but if you need any help, I would be up for helping. I love Science and Math. I majored in Biochemical Engineering and Technology. I also have a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Cyber Security.

That's....well I was going to say that's kind of weird they pay them but our foster care system often pays the foster parents for taking in the kids so I guess it's not that different exactly.

What I meant is that I don't understand why education isn't at least free if not coupled with a payment for your time and effort.
