The most unpleasant feeling in the world was waking up with something foreign stuck all over your face and pillow. Even in a half-conscious state, you knew there was something severely wrong, opening your mouth to yawn and having something fall in that tasted distinctly odd. Tiki Mick had the pleasure of experiencing this feeling when he woke up four days before Christmas, something sticky and vile plastering his face and hair to the linens. One eye attempted opening, stopping as the mess began to burn his eyes and he sat up with a low hiss. When he finally managed to wipe the gunk away, he could see at last- cranberry sauce; all over his pillows, all over his head and shoulders, and staining his sheets.
It might have been hard to figure out who had perpetrated the crime if they hadn’t left their messy twin handprints all over the sheets, but the sound of laughter was audible from outside his door even without that evidence. Tiki didn’t even bother putting a shirt on as he crossed the room, jerking the door open with a sticky hand and a less than enthused expression on his face. There they sat, Jasdero and Debitt, cackling like the little conspirators they were, just outside Tiki’s door. Their startled squeaks didn’t help them as he caught them by the hoods of their vests, hauling them to their feet with ease.
“Did you boys have fun last night?” His voice was almost a purr, dangerous as his eyes flashed between them. Jasdebi didn’t even glance between themselves, simply nodding as he stared them down. “I thought so. You’ve got two options. Get your sorry arses in there and clean up the mess you made, or come downstairs with me to talk to the Earl.”
The boys looked almost hesitant for a moment, so Tiki decided to finish off the threat. “Of course, I’d have to mention the rest of the things you’ve done and gotten away with because I covered for you while we were there. Wouldn’t want to leave anything out, would we?” A slight shake prompted a chorus of agreement from the boys, heads nodding like little dolls as he practically tossed them backward into his room. “Hospital corners and fully fluffed pillows, brats. I’ll make you clean the floor with your tongues if you mess it up the first time.”
