♥ Aw, thank you! I really enjoyed writing this although it gave me fits at times and took distinctly more revision than usual. Initially I had them in bed on the first night, and then decided that it didn't fit either of their personalities. So poor Tom spent days wandering around Oxford, never daring to actually track down Dakin, hoping that he might simply run into him somewhere (but never doing so).
Bookshop!Remus... yeah. It seems a job that would suit him, for several reasons. I was slightly lazy and didn't research the names and locations of Oxford bookshops or pubs in 1984 (although I did try to find books on Poland that might have been recently published then, and checked on cigarette brands -- research, heh, this is why I think library work is going to suit me, I love that shit).
Thank you for saying such nice things about the style. A new voice is always tricky. *blushes* And can I just thank you again for persuading me to see the film by having written your own Harry/Dakin fic? I rather had that in mind when I wrote this, you know, as a kind of parallel. ♥
