The particular game seemed to involve tossing rings into polls some distance away. Walking over to it, he wordlessly handed some money to the slave who worked the booth, having heard him shouting the price as they passed. Picking up the rings, he noted that the weight and shape was altered somewhat to make it less likely to land where it was thrown. Mentally adjusting for that, he threw ring after ring, each one landing on the small post.
"We have a winner!" the worker declared loudly. "A present for your lady, sir?" Kenshin blinked at him, a bit surprised that he assumed Sayuri to be his lover and not his slave. Perhaps he was not acting in a manner befitting a Master after all, but there was no chance to correct it. He pointed to the prize she'd picked out.
"That one." With a few jabs about the winner being a man of few words, the worker eventually handed over the stuffed creature, which Kenshin presented to Sayuri.
