Derek let out a faint smile; it was true. Stiles loved doing the opposite of what he was told and Derek should've known better, but to be fair to himself, he wasn't exactly firing on all cylinders. "Thank you," he let out after a moment. Stiles had chosen to stay. Stiles had helped Derek, cleaned him. Stiles had listened when Derek asked him not to go look after the bodies. It was a hell of a lot more than Derek would've ever expected and he was grateful. His last movement before falling completely asleep was to reach over and rest his knuckles against the side of Stiles' leg, wanting some kind of contact, even if it was just the bare minimum.
