What is the best book you've ever read and why was it so amazing?

Wow. Now that is a question. Best book, best book... well, I'm a big fan of Agatha Christie. And Dickens. And Shakespeare, obviously. I love biographies too. Do I really have to only have one? Does it have to be fiction? A Brief History of Time is pretty brilliant. And... and.... oh, I don't know. What kind of question is that anyway? David Copperfield.

I've always been a big fan of Stephen King. Not so much for the frights as for the psychological element in all of his novels. They play on primitive fears in a very sophisticated way.

I much prefer plays to novels, and I prefer to see them acted out to reading them alone, but nevertheless I am going to go for one of the Bard's masterpieces. Othello, I think. I've never played Desdemona but I'd love to. The tragedy is so very poignant, Ianto so cruel, and the theme of prejudice dealt with so intricately.

I prefer games to books, but I liked Catcher in the Rye. And Treasure Island.
