Verity wasn't pleased at being corrected (though she did try to keep in mind that she was being taught which meant correction was nessecary) but more so she didn't like the name. She was going to snap at him not to call her that but she realised he was actually laughing and she stopped. When she did speak it wasn't with the conviction she normally held. "I'm not a vixen," she corrected.
She walked over to where he was standing as instructed and tried to see things from his view. What he was talking about seemed to be angles, direction- it was mathamatical. All at once the table turned into a grid of diagonals for her and she felt herself getting a bit excited.
"I believe so," she told him, taking another sip before walking back to where she was. She did as he'd said and lined up the wand with the white ball to hit the striped one into the hole. Unfortunately, when she did so, the balls didn't go very far at all and the whole ordeal seemed decidedly anti-climactic. She frowned at them and glanced to him to see what she'd done wrong.
