Drip. Drip. Drip.
“Little blood traitor. You don’t deserve what’s inside you. I will get out little sister; oh have no doubt about that. I will get out and the first thing I will do is find you. I will find you and take every drop of blood out of you drop by drop,” Anthony said, leering in with a smile that made her blood run cold. “You betrayed that blood, you don’t deserve to keep it. I’ll make tiny cuts, shallow cuts. I’ll make a cut for each day you betray us until there is nothing left of you but your traitor skin. Drop by drop. Drip. Drip. Drip…”
Alicia bolted upright with a gasp, her heart thumping wildly in her chest and her forehead covered in sweat. She curled herself into a ball, resting her forehead on her knees as she fought desperately to control her breathing, to control her shaking. Even in the pseudo-sleep that happened here she couldn’t escape her brother’s threats. She knew they weren’t meaningless taunts; his hope for revenge was the only thing he had to hold onto. She had a hard time fearing his escape though; it was looking like she would never get out of here.
A series of heckling caused her to look up. Weasley. How the hell a Weasley had found himself in here was beyond her. Weasley’s weren’t known for their lawbreaking ways. She felt bad but she couldn’t deny that she was relieved most of the attention had been moved away from her. She hadn’t spoken to him since he arrived; he seemed to be lost in his own personal hell, not that she could blame him. As if he knew she was looking at him he turned and she gave him a weak smile.
“Hi,” she said pathetically, resting her chin on her knees. She winced when she caught sight of his hand. She heard the crack when he slammed it against the wall. They all had. “You should tear a piece of your sheet and wrap that hand. It won’t keep it from setting wrong but it might help it from getting any worse.”
