Summary: Verity is out apartment hunting and is visited.
Verity was stressed, sure. But she wasn't freaking out. She was very firmly not going to lose her cool. Charlie needed her (even if he didn't want to admit such a thing) and she wanted to be there for him. She wanted to do everything she could for him and luckily George wasn't expecting that she come to work and look after Charlie, but she felt horrible, so she'd had to stop at the shop and pick up the records, she could work on them at Charlie's. And, of course, her biggest task for the day was flat hunting, again. She didn't want to go back to her old place, but with the taxes, it looked as if she wouldn't have an option... There was a place down Knockturn Alley and they seemed to be the only people willing to rent to her, which was prepostorous considering her connections. She didn't want to live in Knockturn Alley, that was for sure.
Just as she was leaving the place, stepping back out into sunny Diagon Alley she was converged upon. She barely even realised what was going on at first, the black robes- two or three very large men, as if such a thing were nessecary, converged upon her.
"Miss O'Shea," one greeted her, although his tone sounded more disgusted than anything else. "If you'd please come with us, we'd like to take a moment to talk with you," he continued.
"What is this about?" she asked, looking between the men and trying to see who was outside of the circle they'd trapped her in. She couldn't see above their shoulders. "No, I will not come with you," snapped back.
"This, Miss is about your involvement of the murder of Selene Weasley," one of them drawled.
"I don't even know a- Cassie?!" she asked. They couldn't be serious... "What do you think I had to do with it?!"
"Miss, this would go much smoother if you didn't make a scene."
And with that Verity had to accept that she'd be going with them... She looked around the Alley, they'd drawn plenty of attention and she was already imagining the next headline. How could they think she was involved?! It had to have been that article...
