Pansy felt a warmth growing in her stomach as his eyes darkened with desire. She almost forgot that there was a point to this little game they were playing. Patience, she reminded herself. She was sure she would get what she wanted—what they both wanted, apparently—all in due time.
Raising an eyebrow and grinning, Pansy said, "Yes, it does, doesn't it?" It was fairly clear to her that Theo was just beyond his normal processing skills and probably hadn't realized how she could turn that gift around.
The slight pause before he spoke had her lips curving up with pure feminine delight. Her lips pressed every so gently against his ear lobe as he seemed to try to come up with a hint that wouldn't give it completely away.
Pansy felt slightly relieved when Theo told her the girl was about their age. It would make it easier to guess, as Pansy knew most of the girls that had been in their year and the years above and below them (though she doubted it would be anyone younger than them).
Leaning back slightly (though her hand remained lightly on his thigh), Pansy went through all of the possibilities. She mentally crossed off all the girls who weren't Pureblood, which didn't leave many at all. Millie, Daphne (but, wasn't she dating Miles?), Cho Chang (who had never seemed to get over her spotlight obsession), Hannah Abbott (would he really date a Hufflepuff?), Mandy Brocklehurst, and Padma Patil. She'd mentally crossed off Gryffindors, as well, doubting that Nathan would lower himself to those standards.
Last she'd heard, Padma had a fondness for Gryffindors, and who knew what was going on with Millicent. She went through several more possibilities, but she kept coming back to Mandy Brocklehurst. She couldn't remember much about the Ravenclaw, but she knew the Brocklehursts to be neutral, and you know what they say about the quiet ones...
Even if she was wrong, Pansy would find a way to get her prize, still. But, she had to guess, so she went with the most likely. "Mandy Brocklehurst," she finally said, watching Theo carefully to see how he would react to her guess.
