His own patience was a little strained, his body reminding him that it had been a long time and a lot of stress since last he'd been with someone. But it would be enjoyable, and it would be worth the wait.
But there were times, like now, when he named propriety. Because he wanted to take this further, but enough time had not passed.
"Perhaps you are right, then," he said, lips curving up in an almost wicked grin for a moment. He liked how her lips looked kissed right now.
"There's a magical puppet show, a fundraiser at St Mungos, coming up soon. I was thinking of bringing Peter to it. Would you be interested in accompanying us?" he asked. It had crossed his mind once before but he'd set the thought aside, thinking that would be asking a lot of her.
He pressed his open palm against hers on his chest--his heart still be a little fast. The gesture was appreciated.
"A bit of both," he admitted. "I thought to visit you anyway, but I got into a bit of a tiff with Nathan when I stopped by the manor to check on things." He sighed, lips compressing with annoyance. "Of course, I didn't precisely catch him at his best." His voice held an element of dark humour, and he smirked faintly.
