"Blasphemy," Theo said, but his voice was full of humour and teasing. He hadn't liked Dumbledore either--manipulative bastard, without a doubt, almost worthy of Slytherin--but sometimes the devil you knew was better, and he had done some good.
Though he didn't give in the urge to snog--at least yet--he did, perhaps, sit a little closer than propriety strictly allowed, knee and part of thigh pressing along hers.
"They do seem to grow up so fast. I swear it was just the other day when he was a tiny baby and there was colic." Theo shook his head. Gods, he'd been in so far over his head. Terrified the entire time and without much help.
He blinked. She'd surprised him with that offer, but in a very pleasant way. She seemed to do that to him with startling regularity. He'd thought she liked Peter, but she was asking for an actual outing with both of them.
"Really?" he said, his surprse not very well hidden for once. "That would be... great," he admitted, feeling another one of those smiles coming on, much like the sort that had preceded that first impulsive kiss.
