He rolled his eyes slightly but had to admit it sounded like she'd pegged it on the head. "Ah yes. The joys of the taxes," he said in a dry voice. "I can't believe the Ministry is forcing so much control on the school." The school had always striven to be independent.
The hum made him want to just snog her into oblivion. It wasn't proper, especially at this stage of their relationship, but for a moment he was highly tempted. His lips lingered for a moment extra over his before he reluctantly pulled away.
He took a moment to sip his wine as he rolled her seemingly simple question over in his mind. With most people, Peter was a sensitive topic, but by their making, not his. He wondered if it were an innocent question, or if she were probing for more information around the 'scandal' of his 'illegitimate' child, though she had liked Peter when she'd met him.
