The hunt was on, and Kay prowled behind Natalie (taking in the view, yes, guilty of that) as well as indulging in a light-heartedness that had been lacking in life lately.
He let Natalie take the lead once outside, watching her carefully. He smiled at her wicked smirk. "I fully agree," he said. "And always with chopsticks."
He came up behind her, surprisingly quiet, and was directly behind her when she turned around again. His hand gently cupped her cheek, but quickly, and lips brushed lips almost chastely, a quiet hello or thank you or simple reacquaintence, a surprise kiss out of no where as Natalie hadn't come close enough for anything earlier.
He backed off just as quickly, knowing the action probably wasn't welcomed despite the attraction that simmered between them, and he snagged the rum and the glasses, preparing to pour them both drinks.
