Verity watched in amazement as the scene seemed to unfold around her. She flinched back from the purple curse that shot from Kalev's wand, lighting the small dusty landing. It seemed as though the landlord was reaching for his wand but he wasn't quick enough by half. The man looked confused at first but soon his eyes were large and he was pawing at his body. Verity had seen this before, she'd seen her father use is on her brothers- blood boiling, she was almost certain of it. She didn't care much for the man at all but she didn't think that he deserved to die.
"Are you going to leave the curse?" she asked him quietly as she followed him out into the street, still holding on to his arm. "It could kill him," she looked back, the man's screams filtering through the door.
