Lisa was getting irritated. Everything was about the DA. For her, everything was about her closest friends and her family. Once, she thought Terry was the same way. She stood up, letting the anger take over the sadness that she felt at the loss of the Terry she once knew.
"The stop acting like I'm being a selfish brat. I'm sorry that I came back hoping for some sense of normalcy. I'm sorry that I spent two years on the run feeling guilty for letting you stay and not staying behind with you."
She was trying hard not to yell now, Terry was so maddening. At his sarcastic words, she narrowed her eyes. Did he really think she was the same happy Lisa that they had all known before the war? She wanted to bring that Lisa back, she really did, but things had changed her so much. It was going to take time, and possibly some familiarity, to make her feel at ease again. It wasn't just going to happen.
"I'm glad you're happy," she said, matching his sarcasm. "Because I'm certainly not."
