"Once again, I never said you didn't," she countered. "I wanted you to come because I wanted you to be safe. The wizarding world was changing for us, Terry. Muggleborns were getting persecuted. How you escaped it right at Hogwarts, I don't even know. I wasn't going to take that risk, though and I didn't want you taking it either."
Lisa honestly couldn't imagine what would happen if Terry, her Terry had been killed. It was something she hadn't wanted to think about, but thought about constantly. Maybe trying to get him to run with her had been selfish, but it showed that she cared. He obviously couldn't see that, though.
"So I suppose I should be grateful to Harry, right?" she asked him, perhaps more sarcastically than she should have. "Grateful to the person who my own best friend thought it was more important to stay with."
She'd never disliked Harry, but now she found herself feeling incredibly jealous of him. It'd be different if he said that he was staying for Mandy, but he hadn't even tried to contact Mandy while they were both living in the wizarding world. So what? Was he being pulled away from both of his best friends just because they weren't a part Harry's little club?
"It obviously did change you," she said coldly. "You're not the Terry I used to know."
