Lisa closed her eyes and sighed at Terry's words. She could tell he was trying hard not to argue with her, she didn't want him to have to try, she wanted him to just not have any reason to argue with her. Was it possible that their friendship had been damaged.
"Well, it certainly sounded like you were accusing me of not thinking about you. I've thought about you a lot over the past couple of years. If you were okay, if I should have stayed or tried harder to get you to come."
She hoped he didn't read too much into her words, but it hadn't occurred to her until it was out. She had thought about him a lot when she was gone, but more than what she'd told him she'd thought about. She'd also thought about how she loved him and how she wanted to see him again. How she felt about him in general.
She couldn't help but feel hurt by his final words. He couldn't abandon the club or Harry for her. While she respected his morals where they were concerned, what about standing by your best friend. He couldn't say she hadn't, she had tried to get him to come, but he'd refused. She already felt guilty enough for leaving, she really hoped he didn't turn it on you.
"I'm glad to know your best friends fall second to an organization I didn't even know about and someone I've rarely ever even seen you talk to. How well do you know Harry? You know almost everything about me!"
