His laughter was nice to hear- she'd always loved it. Something about it made the world seem in focus to her- even if she did prefer it with the familiar double that she'd never again hear. "Yes, you do," she continued to tease. "I'll forgive you based on merit this time," she winked.
When he went so far as to let her design the new uniforms she actually gasped, light filling her eyes. "Really?!" she asked, excitedly. Oh this was even better than moving from that ghastly color!
She looked at him with her brow still raised. "Reservations?" she repeated, not quite believing what she was hearing. She was impressed with the way he stood, proximity wise and felt herself ease a bit more.
When they arrived she was surprised to see the building in front of her. "Alain Ducasse? Yes, I've been," she looked back at it in a bit of an awe. How in the world could he afford this? She wondered if he was just trying to impress her, which he didn't need to do, and she should make some excuse not to go. Of course, that would be rude and likely make him feel awkward. "I wasn't aware it was reopened from the war. It's really nice," she said as means of a compliment, and perhaps a warning.
