RP: Cannes in the Summer
Date: 21 June 1999 Characters: Kalev Dimitrov, Verity O'Shea Location: Le Royal Gray, Cannes, France Private/Public: Private Rating: TBS Warnings: TBD Summary: Kalev takes Verity out, per her suggestion, to the most expensive resturant in Cannes.
Verity was starving. Nearly in a literal sense. She hadn't eaten properly in days and was still wracking her mind over how to pay rent. She'd spent as little time in her flat as possible, trying to avoid her landlord- who was really getting demanding- and as little time around friends- not wanting anyone to pick up on her sallow appearance and start asking questions.
But tonight she had a date. A date with a man she was actually interested in. Of course, she wasn't interested in him as more than a meal and a mystery, but there was interest none the less. She didn't know exactly what it was about Kalev Dimitrov that had her so intrigued, but when he'd owled yesterday inquiring about dinner she hadn't really stopped smiling since.
She'd actually had fun picking out her robes (A Nina Ricci that she barely ever wore, but tonight would be perfect) and doing her glamours. Part of her wondered if she'd ever looked more spectacular. The clutch was a gift from Miles as well and she loved the over all look. Even if the meal didn't go well tonight (which she honestly had doubts about) at least she knew she looked wonderful during. It had been so long since she'd enjoyed Cannes in the summer also. She was definitely looking forward to tonight.
As Verity made her way through the London streets to the entrance of Diagon Alley she was turning heads. By the time she reached the Voi, their appointed meeting place, she was positively glowing from attention. It was a little chilly out, but she knew that it would be more comfortable in France.
