"Oh, that's wonderful then. I dare say she knows it better than I do. It's been a long time since I had to get around to much there anyway." Her father had died during the war, and even before that, if he'd wanted to take her out there, it had been a battle with her mother if she found out where he wanted to bring her.
"Well, this weekend or next weekend, then," Kat suggested with a smile. "Whatever is best for you. I'm not terribly picky. Most of my things can be easily rescheduled. For all I have a life, it's a very malleable life."
And really, it wasn't much of a personal life. She just made herself available at certain places at certain times so she could find stuff to write about, and then spent the rest of the time following up on things.
