Jillian had thrown herself into her studies and her work since the ball. She couldn't seem to get the thought of the masked stranger out of her mind- or his taste- his heat. Dammit. West had never gotten to her like this and that worried her even more.
She was safe with him though. She was secure and she liked him, she did. He was just a bit clingy. Well, he had been. Not lately. She was surprised she'd been able to avoid him so easily- had he finally gotten the message to back off?
Only now that he had, she was begining to miss him a bit.
The other night, whether out of temporary insanity, lonliness, or guilt- she found herself in a the pet shop, staring at the colorful fish in their tanks. Eventually she decided on an ordinary goldfish. He always said she needed a pet...
She wouldn't name it though. That would just be going too far.
Now, she was sitting in her upstairs office, reading diligently over a text on Zoology, despite the fact that her final was over. She just wasn't quite sure she'd done well on it...
When she heard the knock she looked up and bit her lip. No one visited her, really. Except him. She went to the window and looked down. Sure enough, Westley was on the doorstep. As much as she hated it, she felt her heart begin to race. What if he could tell just be looking at her that she'd kissed someone else?
She went downstairs and opened the door, smiling sweetly at him. "Well hello stranger. How are you?" It was hard to miss the ridiculous amount of wrapped boxes under his arm and she couldn't help but wonder what he'd done wrong.
