Summary: Adrian muses over Graham for a moment, and Katie distracts him with fluff.
Adrian's cousin, Ella, had sent him a Very Important Owl informing him of her decision to move out of the oppressive environment that she found herself in under her mother's thumb. But he hadn't expected her to actually have accomplished the task so soon.
Of course, the rooms were not all furnished, and she was still looking for a flatmate (whom he hoped for propriety's sake was not Howell Robins, or her mother may swoon and then disown her - not that he was in any position to tell Ella not to run with this idea. He wasn't going to mention it, at any rate. That would just spark ideas that mightn't already be in existence.). But overall, it was a pleasant sort of a place, and he approved - generally.
That afternoon, with Katie by his side, lounging comfortably on the couch whilst Ella had disappeared to borrow a knife to cut the cake for afternoon tea with, he turned his attention to a smattering of photographs left on the coffee table, still waiting to be placed in their frames. Gathering them up, he began to sort through them - pausing over each. There were a couple of Ella's dormmates - one of him, another he didn't know had been taken of him kissing Katie in their opposing Quidditch robes. He passed that one over to his girlfriend. The next one made him freeze a bit.
It was his late cousin - peering out of the frame with a haughty pout, hair mussed and untidy (Merlin, Adrian had hated that look), a crooked smile occasionally tugging at his lips. He shoved the photo to the back of the pile.
Graham Pucey was an spoiled brat, and died without changing an ounce - and he wasn't going to think it over anymore, because that was complicated - and Adrian didn't feel like complicated. Not today.
