Once her brothers got settled in and it became apparent that not only were there not going to be any brawls but that everyone seemed to get along great, CJ relaxed about Christmas Eve. As soon as she let go of the fear that her first attempt at doing anything even remotely domestic was going to blow up in her face, things seemed to look great. Jonah had brought their mother's cookbooks, which they poured through with Brian and Joey to plan dinner. He'd brought her old wedding dress, which spent two days sitting untouched in the box in the dresser before CJ shoved it in the back of the closet, still not completely ready to look at it yet.
It was the least of her concerns when they suddenly found not only the capacity of their apartment doubled but also, somehow, the number of guitars in it. Soon, they would have another dozen people in their apartment too. And Wednesday snuck right up on them. The spent all day setting up tables and chairs, cooking, thanking God that they didn't have to bake or worry about a half dozen sides. Just the ham, and the potatoes, and the beans. After that it was all waiting for guests and sitting around playing music, and hoping there wouldn't be some massive personality clash.
