"Wonderful Andromeda. Always paying attention to the things we take for granted. And then making sure we know we take them for granted and should be grateful for her."
Alice smiled and looked away as he inspected the wound. With the snow that had begun in the last week, Alice had needed her robe and cloak drawn about her as tightly as she could, and hadn't paid attention to how the gash looked. She could barely look at it now, grossly purple, leaking pus and blood, and hot to the touch. Of course, she did look, and immediately regretted it, her empty stomach turning.
She was grateful for the water and drank deeply.
"Well, you know me. I go out and do something stupid only to amaze absolutely everyone with how much help I end up needing."
Alice shook her head.
"We were separated during the battle. I was pursuing a Death Eater outside of the Ministry and he stayed. He has to be off doing something stupid and heroic. We'll all hear about it later."
The water made it much easier to speak, despite how fragile she felt, and would not admit to feeling.
