The Gaurdian at the Gate Who: Shannon Corey and Julia Ridvan What: Girl Time! When: Monday, Early Evening Where: The Bookstore! Rating: Low Status: Incomplete/Closed
Having gotten done with her work at the hotel early, and not having any readings scheduled for the day, Shay found herself with free time. Which was why she had spent some time playing with her Faeries Oracle and getting frustrated with it. Really, this was why she didn’t use it all the time, because of the headaches it could induce by not being cooperative. But then, as always, just as she had been about to give up on it the deck gave her something.
The Guardian at the Gate wasn’t a card she pulled on herself often, if at all. Oh, she knew what it meant, as it was something that occasionally came up for others. It spoke of things she really wasn’t sure on, since it was such a vague kind of card. Or, well, vague when you didn’t know what it pertained to. But, as she sat there looking at the card, she just couldn’t bring herself to pull another on it. And, after a moment of pondering over the stack of cards sitting off to the side, wondering why she couldn’t bring herself to pull another, she sighed and placed the card back on top.
And then she was packing up, feeling the need to get outside. She put the cards in their bag, grabbed up the book, and leaving her iPod behind she left her apartment. Like always, she didn’t have a plan on where she was heading. She rarely planned on going to see someone or go somewhere on days like this. Instead she just went where her feet took her. And her feet, bare of her sandals as usual, took her right to the bookstore. She smiled as she opened the door and stepped inside, eyes immediately seeking out Julia.
