RHETT WYATT: AKA DON'T CHOOSE WAYNE, BISHOP OR JACKSON. CHOOSE SOMEONE PRETENDING TO BE.
Rhett Wyatt is at his niece, Euphemia Hayes, house when the power goes out and the town is thrust into a loathsome darkness. He borrows a flashlight and immediately wishes to go back to the inn to check on his daughter Tinsely. First, Rhett Wyatt secures Tinsely and his assistant. Next, he checks on Camila Marple and Moira MacTeer. Once he feels confident in the safety of the people in his immediate vicinity, Rhett Wyatt puts on the rest of his storm gear and goes out to face the weather.
To those who said that Rhett Wyatt had packed far too much luggage for this trip: The joke is on you, my friend. But Rhett Wyatt forgives you for being less prepared rn.
The storm outside is fierce. Fortunately, Rhett Wyatt is not dismayed! In fact, he has played characters who have fought storms and while the wind may sound like a screech or a wail to the untrained ear, those stories taught Rhett to recognize it as a call for those brave enough to rise in the face of it.
(That or character acting is how Rhett deals with high-stress situations, and also the last place he wants to be during a scary storm is a haunted hotel. YOU DECIDE!)
Knowing how many people may be caught unaware by the duplicitous nature of the local weather (especially tourists who don't have a place to stay now that the inn is full), Rhett springs into action!
His first order of business? Finding a storm-appropriate vehicle. Preferably one that has 'Land' in the title. Rhett Wyatt knows enough about cars to know that his own vehicle is not cut out for this task. Eventually, he'll find the PERFECT vehicle in someone's driveway. He'll knock on their door. He'll make an offer they can't refuse. Then he'll head downtown for some supplies.
Rhett Wyatt is ready for anything this storm may want to throw at him.
