Bella was pretty sure Misha didn’t believe her about her father but he didn’t seem to push it and that made her grateful. He also didn’t push going to the hospital which made her even more grateful. She wanted to hug him in that moment but held off as he spoke about treating cuts and bruises and if she was okay for a sidealong.
“I’ll be okay,” Bella spoke softly trying to sound sure of her choices. “I ran here didn’t I? A sidealong will probably be a lot easier on me than running I don’t know how many blocks.” Bella wasn’t exactly sure where she was but she knew she wasn’t close to home. “But won’t your parents ask questions? Or make me go to the hospital?”
