Calliope wasn't sure what to do without her magic. Being a pureblood, the use of magic had always been a part of her everyday life. And now that it was gone she felt almost empty in a way. She didn't quite understand how muggles lived like this. Wanting a distraction she had grabbed her violin and slipped quietly out of the Ravenclaw common room.
It didn't take her long to find the music room which was thankfully empty. She hadn't joined the music club, but still came here from time to time to just relax by herself. She really hadn't joined any clubs if she thought about it. She was far too shy when it came to group activities.
Pulling the instrument from its case, her fingers ran over the smooth and polished wood with a faint smile. It had been a gift from her father when she was still young. She had fallen in love and taken to it like a duck to water. After making sure it was tuned, she picked up the bow. Closing her eyes, she drew the bow across the strings and began to play.
