The moment that Xander Blackstone met the boy, he hated him. After all, who better to know a troublemaker like that than a reformed one. He questioned the boy severely and made several thinly veiled threats against him if he did anything to his daughter. After all, Lyra was his whole world and deserved someone so much better than what he was like as a boy.
Lyra just rolled her eyes, promised the man that she would be back before dawn, and leaned up to kiss her father's cheek and gave him a hug. It was obvious that the two were very close.
It was a few moments later that she followed ash out to the car wearing a black tanktop and some faded and slightly ripped shorts. While he still looked like he belonged in a catalog, Lyra looked ready to rough it. Her boots were well worn and her dark hair was pulled into a tight braid that went down to the middle of her back.
"Alright, the edge of the forest about two miles away will work. No flying though. Last thing we need to do is scare the animals." She spoke as she began to shift through the back she brought, making sure she had everything, including her sketchbook. " Have you ever heard of auguries? I heard rumors of a sub-species that live out here. Not quite the same as the ones in Ireland, but I'd love to find out." It was a bit strange to plan a trip like this with someone else, but it was also kind of nice to think that she wouldn't be alone.
