"What's the point of walking around to let people know I'm smart. If they can't figure it out on their own, it works to my advantage in the long run," Ash freely admitted. His house was Slytherin and people always assumed he got there because of his stellar personality. But Slytherin was known for its smarts, perhaps not as infamous for them as Ravenclaw always appeared to be.
"I have a habit of being right, you know," Ash said in joking and then listened as she spoke about animals. She had a strong interest in them. She rattled off the information more than just someone who knew how to study for the OWLs or the NEWTs, but someone who actually was fascinated by it. The kind of person to look into the small details. If she weren't a Ravenclaw, he'd consider himself impressed.
Ash gave her question actual thought before he answered, "I have a cat. Russian Blue. Her name is Jade, like my sister. And like my sister she's weird and not quite so innocent as her appearance letes on. But if I had to dream big, I'd go for a chimaera. And before you start telling me how dangerous they are, I know. But I'd want one."
