Lyra glanced over at him and noticed the pride he had for his grades and smiled. "I wouldn't have thought he would. I've always figured you were smart. I just don't seem to see you show it as often as you should." Of course, she rarely showed her intelligence either unless it was in magical creature class.
"Once again, you're right. The alps actually have quite a few nesting grounds hidden away. For being fire birds, they actually enjoy the cold quite a bit. As for domestication, it is impossible to do so. You could no more bully a unicorn to do your will than a phoenix. They're a force of nature. Should you ever capture one, they will spend their every moment trying to find the best way to escape. Only earning the trust of one will get you anywhere."
Lyra did manage to blush a little at her familiar comment. To her, it was her dream, to be worthy of a phoenix's attention. But that meant being the best of the best, both inside and out. "It's my dream. Ever since I was a little girl, I've always wanted one. Though if you are chosen, you will never have a more loyal creature at your side." She glanced out the window as they passed through the city. " So, do you have any pets of your own?"
