Re: Misha/Bella
Misha had hoped there was something between them, but when he'd heard about Bella sleeping with Ash, he'd let himself believe he'd imagined it. It was easier that way. Actually acknowledging that he was falling for her was the far more scary option. After that evening on the quidditch pitch however, he couldn't ignore it any more.
"No," he answered, bluntly, if truthfully. His hand felt colder now that Bella had let go and retreated across the room.
"I flirt with girls, I tease, but if someone doesn't seem interested that's the end of it."
The words came out slowly, with Misha weighing each one before it was spoken. What he said was so much easier than dropping all of his feelings at her feet, and possibly being left to pick up the pieces if she walked away.
"If I only wanted to sleep with you, I would have done it on the quidditch pitch, two weeks ago."
