Re: Dance Floor: Tobias and Belle
Belle nodded. She understood from her own family how women like that could be. Her grandmother and her aunts on her mother's side tended to be the sorts that were just as he described. Perhaps they would have even been Slytherin if they had been born and raised here. As it was, they had gone to school in France, and her father? Well, he had modern muggle ideas in his head and so the opinions that rang through her mother's family didn't touch her nearly as much here.
"Bailey is, yes." Intelligent and attractive both. She would not deny that. Tobias wanted to focus on her though, and them. That was fine too. He was intelligent and attractive and honestly her fingers itched a bit to stroke his hair, to feel the softness against her hands. It was a rare urge, yes, but one she really wanted to indulge. She instead moved to lift her skirts slightly, easing the path up the tower for herself. The long skirt was lovely, yes, but a bit in the way sometimes.
"I should like to be a businesswoman, I believe. That is my largest goal. I have a great deal of knowledge from books and experience, and I would like to use that to establish a business that is friendly to both males and females. I suppose I would just like to find some way to establish true equality." The ministry was not really for her. She was not subtle, nor was she political. She could be loud with her views as a business owner, and throw her money to the causes she believed in. "And you? Aside from becoming our Minister for Magic, what do you want in life?"
