Dance Floor: Tobias and Belle
"He did, and left many bastards." A small grin. "Queens were wiser. They hid their conquests and slid their illegitimate children under the king's nose." Which amused her honestly. The idea of royalty was illogical to her, but she accepted that it had been the way of things for centuries (millennia really) and supposedly royal bloodlines had some advantage.
"I am saying that the biker who speaks as though he was educated at the court of the king draws attention." Her eyes moved to his face and she swayed with him. It was good to be able to dance with someone that she could speak to about things that interested her. He was intriguing and well spoken and it was impossible to say that the rough dress didn't somehow interest her in a manner that she rarely felt. She had never imagined that someone scruffy and really almost lower class in appearance could draw her eye- though she guessed too it might have something to do with the fact that she knew who he truly was and liked him for that too.
Belle too found him irresistible in this situation. Many men could not keep up with her and discuss topics outside of Quidditch and their classes. Tobias was clearly well-read and knowledgeable on more topics than just those taught here. Muggle history wasn't something they learned in school and so he had gone into outside books to seek out information on the topic. She wondered why for a moment, but then decided it didn't matter. What mattered was dancing with someone that had that drive, to learn about more things than what they were taught.
