Dance Floor: Tobias and Belle
For all the class and grace she had put into her costume, she found herself oddly and deeply intrigued by his costume in her way. The slight scruffiness he was portraying, paired with the knowledge that he was intelligent and well-spoken? It evoked a strange warmth in her, one that faintly tinted her cheeks too even though it was unlikely he would see that in the dim and flashing lighting. She had never before even considered that something of that sort could be interesting or attractive, and yet somehow it worked.
His hands on her hips felt good too. She knew that she was relatively petite, and the feel of his hands was secure and thrilling all at once. Her body almost unconsciously moved closer to him, her arms holding him closer to her slim frame. She wanted to be close to him this evening, as much as the folds of her dress would allow anyway.
"I was just dancing with my friends." Something she could return to later if she wanted. Right now though that wasn't what she wanted. A tiny grin at his words and she shrugged one shoulder. "Queen Anne was said to have had many lovers, including one of her minstrels. Why should she not wish to be with another who matched her intelligence and kept her intrigued in a way her king never could? Though obviously those lovers were falsely accused. A queen would never have the opportunity, being always observed at every task."
